Bodycam Maps Guide and Trenches Context
Learn how Bodycam map spaces shape fights, including close interiors, open approaches, Zombies spaces, and current Trenches context.
Maps Shape the Fight
Bodycam maps are not interchangeable arenas. Official sources describe photoreal tactical spaces, close-quarters buildings, forests, abandoned hospitals, trench networks, and at least one real-world CQB location reference. Your goal on each map is to understand what the space rewards before you chase a weapon build.
Current Map Context
| Space type | What to learn first |
|---|---|
| Tight interiors | Sound, doorways, short angles, and reload discipline. |
| Open approaches | Exposure, long sightlines, and when not to sprint. |
| Mixed tactical sites | How objective modes change the safest route. |
| Zombies spaces | Team spacing, ammo conservation, and darkness management. |
| Trenches | The v0.8 update highlights a larger battlefield with trench networks, open areas, tunnels, ruined compounds, forests, and a central church. |
How to Study a Map Without Callouts
- Identify where fights become close-quarters.
- Mark where you are exposed to long-range angles.
- Listen for whether sound cues are clean, muffled, above, or below you.
- Notice which routes are safe alone and which require a teammate.
- Re-check after patches, because v0.8 reorganized the map list and put Trenches first.
